is my identity?
Biblical Truth
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you...

Ephesians 1:5-6
He predestined us to adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which He favored us in the Beloved.

LIVE IN LIGHT OF THAT IDENTITY
It is vital to understand what Scripture says about you. Because, like in Paul's letters, before we are ever told what to do as followers of Jesus, we need to know who we are in Him. "Our behavior always flows from our sense of identity. When we know who we truly are, we see God, ourselves, and our world differently. And when we see differently, we live differently. We move in the direction of the vision God has given us." Chip Ingram, Yes You Really Can Change

Change Your identity
Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection changed everything for us. He becomes our new identity through our salvation in Him. We partake in His death, burial, and resurrection into new life the moment we are saved.

your new identity
God's Word tells us who we are before and after we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. God has redeemed us so that He can restore us into His image. We must make every effort to work the truth of God's Word into our hearts.

Live YOur identity
We follow Jesus, and God forms our hearts. The Holy Spirit is our helper. We change through the daily application of objective truth in real-life relationships. Over time, we notice significant changes in our perspectives, attitudes, and choices.

Share Your Identity
A humble disciple knows who they are before God, choosing to serve, submit, listen, and confess. In the Body of Christ, the church provides people we walk with and can model Christlikeness, hold us accountable, and help us grow.
